Media relations

Who to contact, how to name us, and what we confirm.

This file gathers what a journalist, a partner or a bid writer needs to verify before writing. The scope of what is commented on is published: it applies to every enquiry, with no negotiable exception.

Scope

The rule is stated in advance, not decided case by case.

What the group speaks about

  • The nature of the systems delivered, their outline architecture and the results obtained.
  • Methods of execution, acceptance, operation and skills transfer.
  • Commitments on security, data residency, continuity and reversibility.
  • The group’s organisation, locations, fields of supply and orders of magnitude.
  • References the client has authorised in writing.

What the group does not comment on

  • The identity of a client, absent a written authorisation held on file.
  • Any assignment relating to defence, national security or signals, including its existence.
  • The detail of a protection system: coverage, equipment siting, procedures, known limits.
  • Amounts, margins, supplier costs and the commercial terms of a contract.
  • Security incidents at a client, before or after they are handled.

A question falling in the second list receives an answer, and that answer is a reasoned refusal. The group neither confirms nor denies, and the absence of a denial is not a confirmation.

Press contact

One address, one telephone, two languages.

An enquiry without a deadline is handled after those that carry one. Vulnerability reports do not go through this address: they follow the responsible disclosure procedure.

What an enquiry should carry

  1. The outlet, the medium and the circulation area.
  2. The precise subject, and the question the answer is meant to serve.
  3. The deadline, with date and time.
  4. The format expected: written quotation, interview, background not for attribution.

Boilerplate

The paragraph to reproduce, in both languages.

This paragraph is the group’s reference description. It is supplied in French and in English so that the published version is not an improvised translation. It is reproduced unaltered; cutting it changes its legal meaning.

English

The group designs, deploys and operates systems across five divisions: software and systems, networks and communications, physical and cyber security, secure buildings, power and backup supply. It works for government bodies, diplomatic missions, international organisations, telecommunications operators and industrial groups, under a single contractual accountability, from study through to operation.

Brand assets

The mark, and the conditions of its use.

The mark is available in vector form. It is monochrome and takes the colour of the surrounding text, which makes it legible on light and dark grounds alike without a second file.

Rules of use

Use of the mark by a third party requires written agreement, except to illustrate a press article about the group.

  • The mark is rendered in a single colour. It is not recoloured, graded, or filled with an image.
  • The brand red is #f1274b. It signals; it forms neither a text ground nor a page fill.
  • A clear space at least half the height of the mark is left around it.
  • The mark is not placed on a busy photograph, nor on a ground whose contrast falls below 3:1.
  • The mark is not tilted, stretched, boxed, or given a shadow or effect.
  • The mark is not combined with another logotype in a way that implies a partnership, a certification or an endorsement that does not exist.

Official accounts

The only accounts that speak for the group.

This list is exhaustive. An account carrying the Konect name or mark without appearing here does not commit the group, and reporting it to the security address is welcome.

These accounts broadcast. They receive no commercial enquiry, no tender document and no vulnerability report: each of those three routes is set out above, and none of them runs through a social network.

A question outside this file?

State the medium, the subject and the deadline. A question touching the scope that is not commented on receives a reasoned refusal, and that refusal is itself quotable.
