The Group

Partners and technologies

We name what we operate. We display no logo without a trademark-use agreement, and we do not present a commercial relationship as a partnership when it is not one.

Partnership policy

Three distinct relationships are often conflated under one word. Distribution, which allows equipment to be bought and warranted. Certification, which attests to a competence verified by the vendor. Partnership, which implies a reciprocal commitment and a written agreement.

We use the word "partner" only for the third, and we display neither logo nor certification status until the corresponding agreement is in force and verifiable.

Technology choices

Technologies are selected for a mission for three reasons, in this order: availability of parts and support in the area of operation, the client’s ability to run the solution without us, and cost over five years.

Preference goes to open standards and documented formats wherever they meet the constraint. That preference is not ideological: it determines what leaving will cost.
